10 Gadgets to be Unveiled in January

Technology is advancing with the passage of time new and better techniques have been developed that has redefined the gadgets market. 2012 has been a big year in the personal electronics arena. The year saw the introduction of some new revolutionary technologies like quad-core processors and exciting range of gadgets like devices with big screens etc. The year ahead, 2013 is again set to unveil some very exciting range of technologies and consumer electronic gadgets in the month of January. It is expected that eleven amazing gadgets will be brought to the forefront in the month of January alone. Read about some of them below:


Acer $99 Tablet

Acer is planning to launch an Android-powered tablet which is expected to be priced at just $99. Targeting primarily the emerging markets like India and China, the tablet will most likely be called Iconia B1. The gadget will have features like 7-inch screen accompanied with 1024x600p resolution and dual-core processor of 1.2GHz.

$99 Google Nexus

Google too is expected to launch a gadget that will complete with Acer’s $99 Tablet. Codenamed as ME172V, the gadget is expected to have 800MHz processor but the quality of the screen might lower down compared to the original Nexus 7. Lower quality is a negotiation that would have probably been necessary to fit in the price of $99.

Android Polaroid with Interchangeable Lens

This Android powered camera is expected to be rolled in the market under the name IM1836 and will possess an 18.1MP sensor. The other features that this hi-tech gadget may have, includes 3.5 inch touchscreen, wi-fi, HDMI port, pop up flash and microSD slot.

Huawei Ascend D2, W1, Mate

China’s Huawei is expected to roll out three phones in the month of January. Two phones, Ascend D2 and Mate are expected to run on Android 4.1 operating system, whereas Ascend W1 will be based on Microsoft’s WP8 platform. Ascend mate will possess features like 6.1 inch display with pixel density of 361ppi, 4000mAh battery and a 1.8GHz quad-core processor. Ascend D2 on the other hand will offer a 5-inch screen, 1.5GHz processor, 13MP rear camera, 3,000mAh battery and 1.3MP front snapper. Ascend W1 will be priced nominally and will offer features like 1.2Ghz processor accompanied with 512MB RAM, 2,000mAh battery, VGA snapper on the front etc.

LG Google TV

A web based smart TV, LG Google TV makes it easy for you to watch your desired channel. The gadget has inbuilt Google TV applications which would allow the user read news, browse various social networking sites, track scores, shop online etc.

Samsung TV

The South Korea based electronics manufacturer, Samsung will launch its new smart TV
LED F8000. It is an ultra HD flat screen TV having features like S Recommendations, voice command which gives the user hands free experience etc.

Samsung Galaxy S IV

A 4.99-inch touchscreen Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S IV features a 13 mega pixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. The phone runs on Android’s 4.2 OS and has a 2GHz quad-core processor.

Sony Xperia Z

Xperia z has some distinct features of being water and dust resistant, which makes it a premium smartphone. The Japanese electronics maker’s phone operates on its Bravia mobile 2 technology and its various features include 5 inch 1080p screen, NFC capabilities, and 13 megapixel Exmor RS camera sensors that can even perform HDR video recording.

Intel Powered Tablet

Intel powered tablets will change the way computing is done by offering an unmatchable performance, security and mobile battery life. These tablets would run on Intel’s Atom platform.

ZTE Grand S

ZTE Grand S is a high end 5 inch full HD smartphone with 440 PPI and is available in varied color ranges. The phone is almost the size of Galaxy Note II and runs on Android 4.1.2.
