Apple iPhone 6 will be released all over the world including India (Doubtfully!!). There are some avid Apple fans in word wide who are waiting for the iPhone 6 to hit the markets to buy the smartphone at the earliest. But by the looks of it the smartphone is likely to put a sizeable dent in the pockets of the Indian customers buying the smartphone. In the United States, Apple has a two year contract system which greatly reduces the cost of all the three variants (16GB, 64GB and 128 GB) of the smartphone. The contract free prices of the iPhone 6 variants are $649 for the 16 GB version, $ 749 for the 64 GB version and 128 GB version is priced at $849.
Keeping in mind the exchange rates, taxes and the prices of all the variants without the two-year contracts, the price of the iPhone 6 is likely to go above Rs. 50,000 in India. If you look at the same variables for the Apple iPhone Plus, price of the phablet is likely to go above Rs. 60,000.
These prices are very high in comparison with the competition in India. Android smartphones providing similar features are priced much lower than the iPhone 6 in India and this is going to be a challenge for iPhone in India. Many iPhone fans do not care about the costs and are loyal to the Apple brand. These tech enthusiasts will buy the iPhone 6 in large numbers however the average Indian has to shell out a lot of money for the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
